Training

TrainingWe offer a range of training programmes from advanced INSET day training for the whole school, right down to basic handover instruction following installation.

INSET days

A great way to bring a whole school’s teaching staff up to speed and get the best out of their equipment is an ICT inset day on SMART Boards, laptops, mobile learning devices and other ICT equipment. We teach shortcuts and tricks and explain pedagogical applications for each product.

Our experienced Infacom trainer arrives at your school with a network of laptops to use interactively. Each delegate is issued with a workbook containing activities for the module, to keep for future reference.

Costs vary according to the number of delegates but will be between £500 and £1000 per day for up to 20 teachers.

Half day training modules

A series of half day modules are available covering:

  1. Introduction to SMART Boards
  2. Adding interactivity to your lessons
  3. Concept maps on interactive whiteboards
  4. Videoconferencing in the classroom

Each module is charged at £400 but can be combined for a reduced rate.

Twilight SMART Board training seminars

These ‘twilight’ sessions (4.00pm) last one hour and are run at a variety of locations during term-time within each LEA. They are a starter guide or refresher course on the SMART Board and associated software. Delegates are shown basic SMART Board techniques and occasionally introduced to other appropriate ICT equipment.
The training includes a Q&A session at the end of the seminar.

A FREE "Quick Start Guide for SMART Boards" leaflet is given to each delegate.
Arrive for tea and coffee at 3:45pm.

The seminars cost £50 for each delegate.

Free hand-over training

These sessions are run straight after installation and provide new users with a basic overview of SMART Board™ functionality and SMART Notebook™ software along with an overview of the other classroom technology you have chosen for your installation.

These sessions are FREE.
